PSA: Consider removing your keg tap springs

I've got all Nukataps and springs. The springs worked OK for about a week and now no longer spring back. I don't often disassemble for cleaning (I do run cleaner through the taps frequently though), so I'm thinking about removing them entirely. Will take note of how the pour goes!

Free fermenting fridge - Enmore (Sydney Inner West)

Hi eloschgimpel, could you tell me the outer dimensions and/or the fridge model? Thanks!

Galaxy Dry Hopping - How much is too much?

I haven't used Galaxy in a number of years. It definitely *used* to have a huge passionfruit hit. What are people's thoughts on current year's Galaxy? I've had a few Pacific Ales fresh from the brewery recently and I no longer get very much passionfruit at all. Is this a result in change of...

my fermentation with the 1st use of a tilt hydrometer

I haven't replaced the battery in my Tilt since I got it over a year ago, probably a beer a month. I would imagine if it had WiFi it wouldn't have enough or a 2 week ferment.

my fermentation with the 1st use of a tilt hydrometer

I've got a Tilt and I think they're fantastic, but I don't think you should ever read too much into the accuracy of those readings as they can usually be off by a couple of points or more. Most of the time a large clump of yeast will be sitting on the top of it impacting the readings. Use the...

Woke up to the smell of Beer!

This was pretty much my experience back when I bottled. The brown swing tops from the LHBS are quite thick, so I never worried about them breaking. The seals were the disappointing part. Nothing worse than taking a few prized homebrews away on a camping trip only to crack open a flat beer.

Keg King Conversation- Back On AHB

I don't get it. You're quitting the forums because someone congratulated someone else on becoming a moderator and also because they had a name change? That seems quite odd...

    KegLand Questions and Answers

I love that almost 100% of the reviews are by females. We all know we're the few males in this hobby. It also makes me feel sexy and more likely to buy more.

    KegLand Questions and Answers

You're also still running stolen reviews from Beerco's hops.

    KegLand Questions and Answers

I'd like to talk about these things. You're not being honest with your customers. The review is clearly fake and you know it. I'd also like to talk about all the blog posts you've stolen from Clever Brewing. Home Brew Keg Dispensing stolen from Kegging 101 - Clever Brewing Home Brew Beer...

    Grand Deluxe 125 GD125

What? You didn't bring up the fake reviews at all?? You also had to be pressed a number of times before you did anything. Here are a list of blog articles you've stolen from other homebrew stores word for word: Home Brew Keg Dispensing stolen from Kegging 101 - Clever Brewing Home Brew Beer...

    KegLand Questions and Answers

Bit those are product descriptions for KL's own products. I think that's a bit different to stealing the user reviews from Beerco's customers.

    KegLand Questions and Answers

The Beerco reviews predate their website refresh. There's also reviews taken from Northern brewer and I found one lifted off Amazon the first time around when I first raised this. There's also the blog article they've stolen off other Aussie LHBS online shop sites, Cheeky Peak was the one I...

    KegLand Questions and Answers

The Loral one is lifted off here, complete with the same grammar mistakes. Just google the review from any of the hops on KL's site and you'll see the extent of this problem. You can't just rip sh!t from your competitor's website like that. It still doesn't give them the right to scrape all...

    KegLand Questions and Answers

It goes beyond fake reviews. The first hop I clicked on at the top of the list was Loral. The review is stolen word for word off Beerco.com.au's website. It's stealing off other Aussie homebrewing stores that also offer great service. I also shop at KL, but I also shop at Beerco and think...
