    Initial Taste...

I do a German Pilsner, the only time I get the sweetness is if I dont manage the fermentation properly (no diacetyl rest at room temp) and its more of a butterscotch sticky sweet than honey. Should be no sweetness, a clean crisp pils is no easy task though, there is nowhere to hide unlike a lot...

    Diacetyl problem

Missus birthday on saturday so rushed it a bit... rookie mistake. Didnt taste, trusted the nose. Will give the yeast a crack, thanks for the advice guys.

    Diacetyl problem

So the natural temp never got high enough to give a good diacetyl rest. Im now stuck with a batch of pilsner that has a butterscotch flavour. Already lagered and run through keg to keg 1 micron filter and carbonated. Is there a way to get rid of this sweetness?

    No bubbles

Flat right away. No head retention at all.

    No bubbles

Tastes flat, bit cloudy. Not sure ageing was the issue, same brew in keg #1 was bright, crisp and bubbly. As a Pilsner ought to be. Flat keg was same brew recipie and age, just different keg. Ducati can you please elaborate? Why do you say bubbles in beer is bad?

    No bubbles

Brewed 2 batches, 20 litres each, on the same day. Put them in the same fermenter. They went into 2 separate vessels for lagering, both vessels cleaned and sanitised in the same manner. After a week at 2 degrees (both vessels in the same fridge) i put them into two kegs. Keg #1 had been...

Changing from Brauduino to ArdBir problems

I have tried both ArdBir_2-6-63b10 and 2-6-70b6 and always get the following error: avrdude: verification error, first mismatch at byte 0x7800 0x65 != 0xff avrdude: verification error; content mismatch My brauduino2.ino sketch uploads just fine. Any ideas?

    Braumiser v2.1 sheild help needed

Don't use the beep setting when the board is powered up, you will get false readings. In that mode the multimeter is actually putting a little bit of current out the red lead and seeing if it comes back on the black lead, so if there is any other electricity flowing around the copper wires...

    Braumiser v2.1 sheild help needed

Sounds like short circuits to me. If you are getting continuity between +12V IN and HEATER+ constantly, thats a good thing as these pins are connected via tracks on the PCB. If you are getting shorts between -12V IN and HEATER - constantly, well that's a bad thing, as these should be connected...

    Braumiser v2.1 sheild help needed

Turn it all off then use the mutlimeter on "beep" setting (typically <40ohms). Remove the board and put your multimeter to beep, there should be no connection between any of the three pins of the transistor. If you hear a sound, check your soldering/wiring.

    Braumeister NEXTGEN Build

I had the opportunity to get up close and personal with an Genuine Braumeister and based my build on the ratios of internal and external pipes based on what i saw. Using a 36 ltr external, 21 internal, 2400W heater. Get approx 25 ltr into fermenter. Currently brewing the Pilsner recipie from the...

    Braumiser v2.1 sheild help needed

Yes a bad transistor will cause a short. I say this without prejudice, but bad soldering is more likely to occur than a bad transistor. If you put your black lead of the multimeter GND (the negative lead from you power supply) and the red lead on your heater or pump output, using the buttons in...
