    WILLHI temp sensor

Can anyone help, I have accidentally overstreched and broken the sensor probe cable. Does anyone know where I can buy a replacement. Went to Jaycar electronics just to buy a basic temp sensor and cable and was told that it all depends on cable diameter, length and resistance and if not exactly...

    Coopers real ale batch

Thank you for clarifying that small detail. I thought I was OK using it but being fairly new to brewing I did not want to argue with anyone. Onwards and upwards and restock on brewers yeast as a first choice. Cheers Daz

    Coopers real ale batch

Hi Stuart99, adding this as only had kit yeast and no extra yeast to use other than bread yeast. Did some research and seemed all good to use. Nothing too negative came back, after all, its just another yeast strain that ferments sugar to alcohol at the end 9f the day. Right?

    Beer line connection

Cheers Kadmium for advice, much appreciated mate. This is my first set up. I have bought as per attached shopping list, I will set up as follows - a one way non-return valve from CO2 regulator to the three way manifold and then 5mm lines to grey gas "in" connectors on corny, the "black" beer...

    Beer line connection

Hi all, have purchased a second hand Cobra head triple font set. Was fairly pitted and tarnished looking but after a few hours stripping and metal polishing they have come up real good. I have stripped them all down and cleaned the internal piston type brass components until gleaming like new...

Ha ha thank goodness for that as had mixed up your terminology with 'gross' which means the opposite lol. Will definitely try one at 8° to see any difference. Cheers

    First Cooper IPA

Bangers I am hoping the beers will still be conditioning for another few weeks yet, depends how thirsty I get. Will definitely reserve a few to test at next three month intervals as I'm sure will improve with age.

First brew - Coopers English bitter

First brew - Coopers English bitter

Hi Vini2ton, I am a little bit confused as to when you suggest to add dry hops, you mention "at start of ferment" and then "after ferment has settled down". Do I take it that's 2 lots of dry hopping, at wort mixing stage at the start and then again say day 5-6 when settled. If so how much on...

First brew - Coopers English bitter

Hi all, My first brew with the Coopers home brew kit is a Coopers English bitter which I followed instructions to the letter, but added 14gms of galaxy hops (steeped in boiling water for 25mins) with the tin, BE1 (came with lager as supplied with kit) and spring water. OG was 1.035. Kept at 19...
