    Side note, I bought a bunch of hops from Yakima Valley Hops recently. Excellent price, quality etc. I wasn't sure what I wanted, so I bought a bunch of 2 ounce bags of a variety. Highly recommend this option as there is a huge range compared to LHBS

    The easy way to get a sample out of the demijohn is to use a wine thief to draw some off, which you then put into a sample tube. http://www.ibrew.com.au/products/pipette-wine-thief-plastic Google wine thief and you'll find them at many brew suppliers
