Yeah, thinking blowing the in-laws mouths apart wouldn't be good...or would it;-)
It's meant to be easy drinking for my Mrs who's 8.5 months pregnant and it gagging to get bub out and pound a light and breezy PA (loves LCPA)!
Yeah, won't be doing that again!
I started with 2 pots as the recipe said I needed 58L at the start. Then with evaporation, spillage (& scalding) and boil over I tipped the remained of the small pot into the 50L pot.
The 50L pot was filled to the brim for most of the boil...have you tried to...
Well that turned out to be f'ing hard work!
Started my cook at 8pm Saturday and all went well until mash time was over...then as per usual it all fell rapidly apart! Pot was too full and had boil over, wouldn't come to a rolling boils for f'ing ages and then just wouldn't cool for love or...
Had an idea for a double batch brew I wanted to swing by you guys:
Some background – I'm looking to brew 2 batches before Xmas, an easy drinking APA for family and friends and a Strawberry beer for my lady who’s dropping a bub in the next couple of weeks and is dying for a beer!

Another one I was considering was a strawberry beer...went strawberry picking with the Mrs last weekend and have 5kg of amazing fruit that needs to be use and there's only so much f'ing jam I can take!
Anyone have a good AG recipe for Strawberry beer?
I've seen some extract recipes like:

Bwahahahaha! That's soul destroying!
Some cracking suggestions in there, liking the sound of a cream ale and Seehuusen's Xmas Tuborg Julebry.
Already have a Stout, American Brown Ale and a couple of PA's nestled away at different ages and remaining quantities; and as I mentioned, the rather...
Gents, the silly season is almost upon us and although I have more brew then I could possibly drink for the remainder of the year, I think I want to make a specific Xmas themed batch.
And by that same token, I was curious what you guys have on the cards for your festive season.
I'm going to put...
Gents - It's Friday and tomorrow's brew day!
I've got an 8 month pregnant wife at home who wants to vom at the smell of wort cooking up (if she wasn't having my baby eh!) so as a courtesy I want to get my outdoor brew on.
I have a 50L pot and a bottle full of gas but I'm looking for a kickass...

I bottled my second AG batch yesterday - Weisbier.
I went online and used a calculator to work out how much dextrose I needed and the calc came out at 270g. Seemed a bit high but the CO2 vol. was recommended at 4.0 so I went with it.
Does this seem right to you more experienced folks...
