I haven't looked into this, but just reading your response it did trigger a thought... Could you have different configuration sets that are used depending on whether the temp probe is internal RTC or Pill? ie If switching between temp the measurement source the active set of relevent settings...

Have you used the brass thread inserts for the tap handle thread? They appear to be designed for timber handles with a deep thread instead of the normal knurling. I am wondering if it is best to try and use them or try and tap/thread the plastic itself.

If each product had a date it was added to the systm in the backend, you could check your user profile and see "new products since last time logged in". The user profile would only need to store the date that it was last checked. Or even just a simple "Show all products" ordered by "Date added"...
