No gas from Sodastream bottle through regulator

Thanks. I went to a local mob (Beerbelly.com.au) and bought a cylinder adaptor with pin adjustment. Problem solved :D Thanks to both of you for the suggestions - much appreeciated.

No gas from Sodastream bottle through regulator

Thanks, but the washer is symmetrical, so still no idea.

No gas from Sodastream bottle through regulator

I bought one of these as I normally use 16g bulbs and want to save a few bob. The Sodastream bottle goes in fine, and I get the small spurt of gas to let me know that it’s hot to trot. I know that the bottle (which is new) has gas as it spurts when I screw it off the regulator. Nothing happens...

    Sodastream adaptor

Thanks for the offer, but I can use the keg charger shown in my first post for the 16 bulbs. I need an adaptor to go from the US/UK/EU regulator to the AU bottles. Thanks for the offer - Chris

    Sodastream adaptor

The unit that I bought does not have a thread (and is not deep enough) for a 16g bulb. As well, this unit is threaded for the Europe/US/UK D Sodastream bottles.

    Sodastream adaptor

It's the wrong thread (too short and coarse) for the Sodastream bottle. I assume that you have an adaptor between them? Chris

    Sodastream adaptor

Appreciate the detailed response, but the single piece unit from Aliexpress will fit perfectly in my limited space. Thanks again - Chris

    Sodastream adaptor

I have one of these on the ball lock fitting on my kegs. I used to use Sodastream bottles via an adaptor when I lived and brewed in the UK, but can't find one here in Oz. I have arthritis, so can't screw the 16g bulbs in quickly enough that I don't lose most of the gas. Can anyone help...

    Using two cans

I've become very fond of doing this with two cans of Coopers Dark Ale or two cans of Coopers Pale Ale. I use both sachets of yeast, and let them ferment out for a fortnight. Works a treat for me, and I like the increased bitterness. I have done it with Coopers Stout, and that's about as...

    Kmart clearing Coopers stock

KMart Firle sold out, with only three kits marked down to $65. I went for a drive, and found Drakes Foodland at Target Square in Newton have a basic range.

No change from the recipe. I didn't even bother checking temperature, but can tell you that the start of the ferment was humungous! The Belle Saison was really good, but this is really, really nice. Thick and chewy, with a great sweet nose.
