    Thinking about puttin down a cider. Will just use a kit probably the black rock one. Not sure on yeast was thinking wyeast cider yeast. Anyone used it or recommend a better yeast for the job. I like a dry cider but refreshing Cheers Josh

    Hey. Yeah I've got that book so maybe ill give it a go. I listened to that one I think that is what sparked my interest. Some of the barrel fermenting sounds good too. Feral brewery do a barrel fermented version of hop hog which changes the beer so much but makes it bloody tasty.

    Great stuff. Means less work. One thing I have learned is hops need a lot of attention to keep from growing crazy. Thanks for tips.

    Hi guys. I'm growing hops at home. I live in armadale area of Perth. I've had a pretty good crop for my first lot. I've heard that during winter I may need to dig the rhizomes up and cold store them. Is this right? Any info be great

    Porter does sound good. Maybe I'll have to try a couple different styles this harvest and next year hopefully can nail it

    Ale fermentation temp

    Thanks for the feed back. Ill keep it fermenting at the 17.5 and let it do its thing. Maybe next time ill try a different temp with the same recipe( as long as it turns out good) see what happens. Cheers

    Hmm maybe I'll bump it up a degree. Only been goin a couple days. I will bump it up towards the end for diactyl rest also . Thanks for the reply. I will try to find some more info
