This is what happened. It split at the end of the barb and there were micro fractures along the wall of the pipe, as you can see when I pushed that punch in there.
Yeah, totally didn't know at the time. I was just getting into kegging. I guess I just assumed it was of a reasonable standard, being an item that holds gas n all.
Righto! The Keg King stuff I had on my gas side perished because of UV attack. Within a couple of months no less. Lost 10kg of gas. Have since replaced with dedicated gas double wall braided hose.
In the market for some new beer line. Have some Keg King line at the moment and it got kinkier than an old garden hose in no time. Not really very impressed with it. I totally got what I paid for.
Any recommendations on decent beer line? Places or brands?
I guess they work largely hand-in-hand. Would I be correct in saying that 0.5°C difference and delay of 10 mins is largely the same as a 1°C difference and delay of say 5 mins? In terms of temp fluctuations and compressor on-time?
So, I've just wired up my STC-1000 for a ferment fridge with heating and cooling. It's an old upright freezer. Now I'm looking around for the best settings to avoid damaging the compressor etc.
I've read quite a few threads and there seems to be a variety of responses. From this search I've...
I've seen the Inkbird itc-1000. Is there an advantage to using them? The stuff online I've read looks to be from the guy who makes them or just about Fahrenheit.
Set to 1°C differential sounds pretty good. Does anyone else have any other experiences with what differential worked/didn't work for them? I'd like to get it going good out of the blocks.
