Thanks for that, I'll definitely look at those links.
I did indeed end up capping "the bitches" :P really damn quick.
Every time I brew a batch it seems I do something extra to make it better or make the process better. I love it :)
Thanks again!
Ok Just started bottling my Coopers Cerveza and I'm adding some dextrose instead of coopers drops as suggested by my LHBS guy as it is supposed to give a more refined bubble. Massive bubble eruption in first bottle, ok maybe it has a bit of crud in the bottom and it was a bit shaken up, second...
Ahhh good point about the SG and condensation. I did and still do have condesation and SG is now about 1024, so that would suggest it's humming along :)
Haven't really done any trouble shooting with brewing, usually just works, I'm used to hearing bubble bubble bubble just expected to hear it...
Hi there,
I've had my Cooper's Mexican Cerveza in the primary fermenter for a few days and haven't noticed any bubble action.
The yeast I'm using is Saflager S23, sprinkled the yeast in at 18C and brought the temp down to about 16C, tried to get the temp down every now and then to no avail...
Thanks for the input guys.
glaab, the Brewcraft Malt Plus Booster is DME... 50% malt extract, 25% maltodextrin and 25% dextrose (don't know if that makes any difference).
So 750g to 1kg of DME is the way to go.
It looks like I'm refining my process before I've even done my first batch..haha...
Yeah should be all good. The LHBS guy was talking a fair bit and some of it went over my head, I figured I'd end up with better suggestions from here.
Just wondering does the amount of Malt (Malt Plus Booster) seem right?
No he didn't really use those words. I've just been trying to find what category to put it in. I'm guessing it's a k&k with a few more steps to get extra flavour.
I was wondering about the measurements of grain, malt etc. Thanks for the info bum.
Ok I've brewed a bunch of kits over a couple of years and really need to take it to another level. I was going to go AG but the LHBS guy suggested a partial (fair enough).
I've gone through as many threads as I can handle figuring out what to do and have come up with this for a CPA...
I've gone the way of the reptile heater attached to a temperature controller both from eBay, still putting it all together and testing bits n pieces. Any news from anyone who has completed one of these and any recommendations?
Cheers
