Second year plants starting to show some growth- the POR definitely has started its spurt- Victoria Cascade and the Mega Chinook (thanks again Hoppy2b!) are also starting to get moving, just not like the POR
After having a summer of Saison and Australian Pale type recipes I have returned to the APA /AIPA for winter
Did the ol JZ Epic pale clone and just bottled a Chinook/Cascade/centennial AIPA.
Manage to grab five different Stone brews last night from Belair here in SA- only cost me 37 for the five which I'm happy (ish) with. On drinking I was totally fine with. Really enjoyed the Go To session IPA - full of flavor for their "light" beer
Plus their ultimate (IMO)
Wow
Also tried the delicious IPA (very citrusy but very good)
Their "normal IPA" also a winner and the "Go To Session IPA - which at 4.5% was close to perfect! Again IMO
Freebees from work- couldnt drink them. Me and my mate decided to at least if we could make them better.
One Topaz hop in each, left for two weeks. much better. Even with the massive amount of hop fragments.
Footnote- I wont be buying SD and doing it again though.
Legs look ok, bit of scoring but nothing out of the ord
I've had it fermenting a AIPA for two weeks which is getting cold crashed and bottled next week so I'll check to see what it's like then-if worse might shoot em a line
Cheers
Brett
Good job all!
Have enjoyed reading this thread
I did not get any cones this year due to poor prep due to work commitments- I did however end up with some good vegetative growth, so I'm hoping that should mean that they are fit and fighting ready to go next season
Below is a picture of the hops...
