    Kegging and Odd Flavours

Thanks Mark great info. I’ve seen comments made about having the keg full of star san and then using the co2 to purge the starsan out. My issue then is what’s the point when you’re just lifting the lid to transfer anyway. I understand it’s heavier and shouldn’t be displaced as easy but reality...

    Kegging and Odd Flavours

Hey guys, Well it's been a little while now since I got my first BIAB down. I made a Galaxy Golden Ale. I cold crashed and then transferred direct to the keg. Prior to dumping it into the keg. I connected up the gas and I went through a few cycles of pressuring the keg, venting...

BIAB Help - A few questions

Well I kegged yesterday. From initial tastes it seems pretty good. Will need to check my hydrometer calibration though as I'm fairly sure I got a 1.000 on the FG.

BIAB Help - A few questions

Thanks guys, awesome posts. I'm going to hit the button tonight on an order from kegking to get the remaining bits that I've been waiting on from kegland, another 12 days until co2 tanks are back in stock and as a bonus kegking has got the 20L cube in stock. For whatever reason bunnings...

BIAB Help - A few questions

Hey all, First time back here since 2016 or something. Mrs decided she'd be nice and shouted me some keg gear, so I thought now sounded like a good time to get back into brewing. Unfortunately for me, I haven't brewed anything since 2016 and whilst the overall understanding is there, a lot of...

Pacific Ale - Dry Hop Alternative

Hey earle, credit where credit is due. I've made it before many moons ago and really enjoyed it. Haven't brewed in a while and this was my fall back so well done. Extract spreadsheet spits out IBU 16.8 EBC 4.6

Pacific Ale - Dry Hop Alternative

It's floating around here somewhere. It's an extract recipe. the Spreadsheet on here doesn't line up with those figures. I think I had OG of 1.039, and I doubt it'll be 20.8 IBU. But I'm about to bottle it and I'll see how it turns out.

Pacific Ale - Dry Hop Alternative

I whimped out a little and only added 30g of Citra dry. Was in there for 2 days before crashing. I'll go to a secondary and bottle on the weekend. 23L batch.

Coopers getting in on the game of daft brewing machines?

In all fairness it did look as though you could get ingredients for 28 dollars as well, depending on what you got. That said. That's still between 2.8/4.4 bucks per L. That's almost the same price as buying cheap cartons from Uncle Dans. I think my current batches of extract / kits and bits...

Anybody want to have a whirl at turning this into an extract recipe?

Pacific Ale - Dry Hop Alternative

I've heard good things about dry hopping with NS! But yeah fair enough, hopefully I have enough Citra in all my half empty packets.

Pacific Ale - Dry Hop Alternative

Hey guys, I've put down a batch of the Stone and Wood Pacific Ale, now I've done this before and I've enjoyed the recipe, but this time around, I don't have any additional Galaxy to dry hop with. And I strained the hops out when they went into the fermenter. So I'm fearing it may be a...

How to get started in Cider. The definitive(ish) guide to beginner&#39

I was going to do it in the juice container, so I figured I'd need the blow off. But, what about the yeast?

How to get started in Cider. The definitive(ish) guide to beginner&#39

I'm back, still haven't picked up any yeast yet and that's been the only thing delaying me. Was going to buy an airlock to stick into the lid of a juice bottle, but decided it'll be easier to just run it into a blow off container instead using the existing lid. As I said, yeast is holding me...

    Hop boil liquid

Thanks everyone, in the end I think I added my full cans of goop into the 5L of water, completely spaced on the fact that I'm adding an additional 2L or so into the pot, so I stirred it through until it was dissolved, then shifted that 2L or so back out of the pot into another container. Did my...
