    Coopers English Stout

I did. I fermented it with the kit yeast and half a cup of US-05 slurry from a previous brew. Thanks Bribie. I'll try the regular stout. This one was the Irish stout with a tin of dark malt extract and 20 grams of steeped Fuggles. I mean......how easy is that? It's a great beer.

    Coopers English Stout

Good question Grott. I will make this a regular from now on, especially now the cooler months are with us. BUT....... I will still mash brew occasionally. I feel for paler beers mashing gives far superior results. It's all about balancing time and expectations. I have brewed some fantastic kit...

    Coopers English Stout

Alternating tonight between this stout and LCBA clone (all grain). I can't pick a winner. They are both so good.

    Coopers English Stout

wow, I think I've found my new favourite recipe and it couldn't be easier to make. http://store.coopers.com.au/recipes/index/view/id/44/ Brewed in about 5 days, racked off for a week, keg and force carded today, and I couldn't resist a sneaky sample. Tastes so good. I bottled up 4 longnecks...

RecipeDB - Little Creatures Bright Ale Clone

I brewed 2 batches of this. One was brewed to the letter ( other than substituting the hops for Amarillo and Cascade) and the other I dry hopped with around 50 grams of Amarillo and Cascade. Both turned out fantastic, but the dry hopped one was superior. It had a distinct grapefruit/stone fruit...

    Thomas Coopers Brew A IPA

I brewed this: http://store.coopers.com.au/recipes/index/view/id/124/ I substituted the hops for Cascade and Amarillo. After kegging and force carbing it was very bitter, but very quickly transformed into a really nice beer

    Chilling wort in swimming pool

I haven't got round to trying a Cube yet, but it sounds like a great option. Anthony, that sounds like a great way of doing things, one that I would never have even thought of. I have a couple of spare kegs, so I will give it a go.

    Chilling wort in swimming pool

Apologies if this has been covered before. I did a quick search and only found chilling cubes in pools. I just put on a BIAB 20 litre batch. Up until now I have chilled in the laundry trough with many changes of water and a ton of ice. Today I carried it up to the pool and placed it on the...

    A Return to Kits

Hi Laxation I just checked my notes and unfortunately, I didn't write down when I added the hops. I can only presume that I dry hopped them on about day 4 of fermentation...... but maybe I boiled some up with the LDM......sorry, not much help I know. I have actually just now racked off...

Most ridiculous price you have paid for a beer

Most ridiculous price you have paid for a beer

Sheet.....after reading some of these, my $24 pint at Raffles in Singapore was a bloody bargain.

First AG brew in almost 30 years.....looking for advice

This fermented quite quickly, racked and gelatine fined, and cleared much quicker than kit/extract brews. I actually kegged this up on Tuesday (today is Thursday) so I have been extremely patient. It was force carbed, so I have just drawn off a 250ml sample. I am in beer nirvana. Thank you Dr...

First AG brew in almost 30 years.....looking for advice

LOL, yeah that one worked. I was "allowed" to buy some kegs/taps/everything else a couple of months ago after taking every cupboard in the laundry and half the kitchen and dining room floor space with bottles :-)
