Any interest in a brew club to the north of Melbourne?

I find it ironic that Phil the owner of Thunder Road will allow Home Brewers in his Brewery, but has banned any professional Brewer from going in there.... So just make sure non of your members decide on a career change in Professional Brewing

    new hop hog

Okay here is my two cents worth I drank quite a bit of Hop Hog in Perth when i was there for xmas an i must say it is still one of the most consistent and reliable beers to buy in packaged I also spoke personally with Brendan and he has not changed the recipe or the hopping at all. One thing...

    Mount Tamborine Micro For Sale?

My issue is that just because some one doesn't post much, it is assumed they are only here to stir up trouble or that they are new to brewing and don't know much. I read this site every couple of days for info on what is happening in the industry and brewery or beer reviews. I however very...

Is Hb Good For The Environment?

Individually we don't brew as much as a big brewery but collectively our foot print would be quite large. To me the fact they are so effiecent is irrelevant. I don't work for any brewery but this site all ways comes back to large brewery bashing.

    Further Exposing My Beery Ignorance

I understand point 3, but you should really be training your palate so you can have numerous beers in a style and pick the differneces and flavours etc. This is what happen's when you do tasting/judgeing where you may need to try up to 30 or more beers in the same style and be able to pick out...

    Redoak Organic Pale Ale

this is not just a Red Oak problem but a problem with a few breweries who have 2 big a range of beers. Some of these beers are probably only being produced once or maybe twice a year at the most, they spend alot of time sitting around in store rooms ,wharehouses etc , not doing the beers any...

    New Hargreaves Hill Beers

When i was up there i was hoping to catch up with either Simon or His brewer Greg ( i think thats his name ), to ask more questions. There Pilsner was really crisp and clean with a nice hop aroma, and there ESB is still a great Consistent beer, no matter where thay seem to brew.

    New Hargreaves Hill Beers

Start again, Visited Hargreaves Hill Restaurant/Ale House during the week and found they had five beers on tap. Some new ones that i haven't seen before or new that they did. They had a Pilsner and Dunkelweizen as well as there regular ones Hefe,Pale Ale and ESB. Any one else tried any of...

An Ag Beer Without Hops. Anyone Done It?

If you don't try it you don't know. Easiest way to learn about brewing is to do it yourself. If it takes like shit you have maybe wasted 30 dollars and a bit of time. We all tip out beer at some stage

Are Low Carb Beers Just A Fad ?

My problem with low carb beers isnot that they claim to be healthier, my problem is that so many of them call themselves blonde beers When you brew or give some one a proper belgium blonde the first questions they ask is if it is Low carb.

    Kooinda Award

Get the Pitchforks out, i sought of agree with Mr Brau ,in theory but not at his attack on the boys from Kooinda. I think if there was a forum where brewers or brewery reps could let us all know about how well they were doing or any awards or new beers etc, then maybe we would get more...

    Megaswill

There are some effects where coopers have made in roads , where they have been able to convince Vb drinkers etc to try there beers. But it would be harder for coopers to convince a Jim beam Can drinker to move over to coopers.
