    Guide To Keg Forced Carbonation.

That's a good idea about filling the keg from the bottom up. They are very hard to fill from the top down :P You have the rough idea, but slightly out of order - The fermentation should be finished by 2 weeks. Fill up the keg, chill, then carb, then consume. That's it.

    Buying Beer Glasses In Brisbane

QCC at East Brisbane is where you want to go - they've got everything - http://maps.google.com.au/maps?ie=UTF-8&am...mp;z=14&t=m only catch is that you need to buy them in bulk (usually boxes of 48). The upside is that they are usually so cheap that it doesn't hurt too much do that. Cheers, Alan.

    Poors Foam

Hi Dave, Something's not right there. If it's the hig pressure guage that sitting in the red at zero you won't be getting any CO2 pressure at all, so the 1.5 bar must be coming from back pressure, which might explain why you can't get it any lower. As Browndog said, purge the pressure on the...

    Glassware - Nonic Pint Glasses

Hi all, After scouting the usual department and kitchen stores for decent beer glasses in the Xmas sales and coming up empty, I decided to try some catering supply places instead. The good news is that you can buy just about any type of specialty beer glass you want, the bad news is that they...

Cleaning The Outside Of A Keg

I'm a chronic keg polisher.  To get your kegs nice and shiny, soak any stickers or labels with water and then scrape them off gently with a paint scraper. You can remove the sticky residue with some of that citrus based sticky remover. Once the stainless is clear of...

"the Heineken Keg" - Party Keg?

Kev, I had a good look at those heine kegs when they first arrived - http://www.aussiehomebrewer.com/forum/inde...?showtopic=9955 After I emptied that one I pulled it apart. Basically, it's a no go. The main problem is that you only have the one outlet on the keg which is similar to a pressure...

    Sanitizing Kegs

It's only chlorine based products that pit stainless steel. Napisan is sodium percarbonate based (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sodium_percarbonate) which releases hydrogen peroxide when mixed with water which then produces the oxygen bleaching effect. I normally soak my kegs in napisan for a...

Scb - Beer On Tap At The Elephant & Wheelbarrow Bris

ok, I'm outta the loop, what is this Mountain Goat gathering you speak of ? I know the next big Qld get together is the July case swap, but if anyone is interested I could organise a bit of a quick pub crawl sometime in August or Sept - maybe the Brewhouse, E&B - any other suggestions ...

    Party Kegs

Geoffi, there's no need to take that whole s/stream getup around with you, just pull it apart and use the cylinder coupling and valve. Add some gas tube to this and your disconnect or valve of choice. I use this setup on my portakeg. A squirt of gas when the pour starts to get a bit slow is all...

    Flow Restrictors - Poll

I've done 2 AHB bulk buys of these now from Beertech in WA: http://www.aussiehomebrewer.com/forum/inde...ic=5208&hl= http://www.aussiehomebrewer.com/forum/inde...ic=6578&hl= So there should be no shortage of people who use (or have tried to use) them. I use 'em, I like 'em. My beer lines...
