Thanks dib, I was looking at a YouTube video (the font of all truth) that seemed to show all the grain circulating in the water. I was not asking about the grain plate, the grain bed is a stationary layer of grain that would lay on top of the grain plate and filter the wort.

Thanks dib, but it doesn't really answer my question. Does the flow from the recirculation tube get all the grain into suspension in the water? But if does cover sparging :)
